Firstly I would like to congratulate you on this life changing news of becoming a parent, this is an adventure that will surely change your life. I believe children are a blessing and their existence should be celebrated when they are growing. The first stage of their growth is in the womb. Doing a maternity shoot can be a rewarding experience and something which cannot be done once the baby is born. With a patient approach, I will make you feel at ease and empowered. This will be displayed in your final images.
The best time to book a session with me is when you are 30-36 weeks pregnant. This all depends on how comfortable you are during your pregnancy and the size of your bump. I would recommend booking the shoot at least 1 month in advance so I have time to plan themes, order items and have space in my busy schedule. However if that is not possible, message me and I will check my availability.
The shoot will last for 1-2 hours. The main focus of the shoot would solely be of mother and baby bump, ensuring your comfort throughout. The father and children are more than welcome to be a part of this wonderful experience.
The studio shoots allow me to play around with the lighting and let me capture the shape and size of the beautiful bump. Black and white and colourful backdrops are optional and themes can be discussed with a one to one consultation beforehand.
Using outside locations are delightful, allowing us to get pictures with nature or picturesque landscapes. Themes and outfits will be chosen prior to the maternity shoot. We can take photos in a nearby park located in west London or in my garden which has greenery, trees and seating areas.
Before the shoot we will liaise on what will be worn and any ideas that you may have. I can provide an outfit or you are more than welcome to bring your own. Long dresses which cling to the skin to insinuate the bump, frills and lace also work well for maternity shoots. Examples of previous images I have taken or you have seen and would like to recreate is something I would consider. Little accessories such as teddy bears, booties, customised name items and baby scan photos are good props to bring along.
Thank you for taking the time to have a read through, if there are any more questions that you would like to ask me feel free to message me directly and I will be happy to get back to you.
